Role Definition
Implements, and continuously improves all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
61 Applying lean manufacturing principles to assist with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
61 Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
61 Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
61 Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
61 Lead inventory and storage continuously improvement activities and projects in Supply Chain.
61 Skill to use tool of CAD

Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

61 Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
61 Implements and maintains monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
61 Develops and analyzes logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
61 Works with historical, legislative and practical issues associated with domestic freight.
61 Participates in contract negotiations and interfaces with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service.
61 Consults on all major logistics processes, their interactions and operational requirements.
Materials Handling and Management: Knowledge of material handling and management in plants; ability to perform, monitor and improve processes related to storage, transportation and handling of raw and hazardous materials.

61 Assists in the responding of and dealing with emergency issues related in materials handling.
61 Works with the packaging and storage of inbound or outbound materials.
61 Performs the packing, shipping, identifying and transporting of materials.
61 Explains key environmental issues for handling hazardous goods.
61 Follows procedures to handle hazardous materials, hazardous substances and pollutants.
Problem Management Process - MFG: Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.

61 Receives, clarifies, and resolves a variety of standard and atypical problems.
61 Implements the processes and activities for handling unusual problems.

61 Participates in trend and root cause analysis to identify and address recurring problems.
Warehouse Management: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers-
Level Working Knowledge:
61 Maintains warehouse equipment and facilities.
61 Performs basic warehousing activities such as receiving, putting away, picking, packing and shipping merchandise.
61 Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area.
61 Assists in implementing mechanization approaches and techniques in a distribution center.
61 Collects and translates the business requirements for specifications of warehouse management systems.
