System Engineer

1. Technical Development & System Integration

a) Lead the development of mechatronic drive systems (electronic focus) as the technical interface between project management, R&D teams, and design.

b) Translate customer specifications into product requirements, define validation scopes, and evaluate technical solutions for cost, timeline, and quality impacts.

c) Ensure integration of full systems (e.g., motors, pumps, electronics, gearboxes, PCBs) and verify interface compliance. Develop specifications, system architectures, and product manuals.

2. Project Management & Risk Control

a) Plan and maintain sub-project schedules (HW/SW/mechanical development, testing). Monitor budgets, analyse critical paths, and drive decision-making.

b) Coordinate cross-departmental priorities, track project progress, and report to stakeholders. Lead phase closures and milestone achievements.

c) Maintain risk logs, action lists, and ensure compliance with change processes.

3. Strategic Collaboration & Knowledge Management

a) Serve as the technical liaison for customers (series/pre-development phases). Align product integration with customer system requirements.

b) Drive technical benchmarking, market analysis, and product roadmap development. Enhance competitiveness through innovation and documentation.

c) Monitor industry trends (e.g., new energy vehicles) and translate insights into technical requirements.

4. Requirements & Change Management

a) Manage requirements per QA standards. Lead feasibility assessments for technical changes (TC/PCO) and cost evaluations.

b) Align stakeholders on development scope and contractual compliance.

Requirements:

1. Master’s degree in Electronics/Software Engineering.

2. At least 10 years working experience with 4+ years of hands-on experience in automotive mechatronic systems (e.g., motor control, sensors, CAN/LIN bus systems).

3. Proficient in C++, simulation tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect), and requirements management (PTC Integrity).

4. Familiarity with QA tools (FMEA, SPC, QFD), ASPICE, and project management tools (MS Project).

5. Experience with automotive suppliers and knowledge of new energy vehicle market in China.

6. Fluent in English, Japanese (business proficiency in spoken and written).
