Define technical standard, execute Workscopes and shop visits for customer engine fleets according to customer’s requirements and based on the MTU technical standard in order to ensure the engine is maintained with high quality, good TAT and reasonable cost.
1. Prepare Work scopes for individual engines or engine fleets according to customer’s requirements, OEM recommendation, MTU experience and the customer contract, to ensure the Work scope covers all the maintenance requirements.
2. Lead and guide WRB team, coordinate with other departments in order to ensure smooth engine shop visit. Help to solve arising problems during the process and support for trouble shooting.
3. Review and control implementation of OEM modifications and procedures into MTU-TZ system and communicate with OEM for required clarification.
4. Prepare and maintain customized SHG appendix, SB baseline by implementing customer requirements.
5. In case of technical deviations based on the applicable OPs, prepare and issue Technical Orders in light of engineering evaluation
6. Support Sales and Marketing department in regard of contract negotiation with work scope recommendations and scrap rate evaluation and removal forecast.
7. Analysis removal reasons of customer fleet, present and conduct technical review meetings with customers, advise and clarify technical issues concerning engine fleet operation and maintenance.
8. Review MTU internal processes related to shop visit to ensure continuous improvement.
9. Perform or participate technical investigation in case of engine failures.
10. Provide training to new staff (Guidance for new Engineers during preparation of individual Work scopes for engines) and different level of shop technicians and engineers of other departments as requested.
11. Review and approve MTU internal technical.
12. Coordinate projects to develop MTU solutions for technical issues and support all other MTU-TZ departments regarding technical issues.
13. Prepare OTC/CDR requests based on engineering evaluation and communicate with OEM in terms of technical deviations.
14. Complete other tasks assigned by superior.
Professional Skill
Very good knowledge of the applicable regulations
Sufficient knowledge of Documentation Publishing System
Sufficient knowledge of MTU work-plans and Master Card System
Good knowledge of the IMS and the associated OPs and OIs
Good knowledge of turbine engine structure and function
Good process knowledge in production and the maintenance of engines
Confident in handling of the procedures and forms to perform or assess these documents
Evaluation of engine test runs
Evaluation and interpretation of: modification changes, SB, engine manual revisions and Airworthiness Directives
Evaluation and interpretation of maintenance requirements
Good at both written & spoken English.
