Job Summary:

The Local T&I Diretor is a key member of T&1, reporting to T&VP, and responsible for leading the product development Team.

The key focus of this role is to ensure that the company continues to develop its products to meet technical specifications and customers perfomance requirements, enabling them to be compettive within the market place whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Manage and lead the team, responsible for product design, process development andor mold design, coordinator of compounding and testing team to ensure products conform to design and compliance to regulatory standard.

Work closely with Product Management (MKTG) and local Sales Director to ensure adherence to time schedules reference the development of new products, modifications and improvements to existing products and use of new materials.

Manage the review and interpretation of customer specifications to determine appropriate designs required to meet customer requirements.

Manage the preparation of various drawings including, Tread Pattern drawings, Mold Profile drawings, Engraving drawings, Product drawings to define product configuration.

Manage the creation of Design Data(Manufacturing specification, BOM) from the tire design to enable prototypes and productiontires to be manufactured.

Ensure Design Data provided to Process Development Production are accurate, up to date and enables efficient manufacture of the tire

Manage departmental documentation to ensure compliance with Quality and customer audits.

Manage the development of new technologies for tire design (including CAD, FEA) and the use of new innovative mateials.

Manage and participate in the provision of input and output check to various international technical and standard committees.

Manage liaison with Field Engineering and OE Technical. Managertechnical issues.

Claim rate index.

JOB REQUIREMENTS OF EXPERIENCE、SKILLS、COMPETENCIES and EDUCATION:

A degree in Engineering or Materials Science.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the field of rubber/elastomer product development.

Strong knowledge on tire manufacturing processes.

Strong Tire/Materials technology knowledge.

Strong Mould technology knowledge.

A market aware mind-set to new technology development.

A proven track record of leading and managing Teams and ablet o work, innovate and succeed as part of a Team.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface internally and externally.

Independent thinker but able to work within wider management Team.

Able to be open and honest, to listen carefully, discuss freely and behave fairly.

Works with and imparts a sense of urgency on the Team.

Able to develop new ways of doing things, whilst inspiring, encouraging and supporting others to think, act and be better in every way.

Fluent in English language.
