Sourcing Merchandiser

Mission: Develops and Manages the right pool of suppliers: sources best suppliers and products, negotiates, monitors offers follow-up and product validations in line with DPW strategy as well as Auchan standards and Ethical Rules.

Main responsibilities:

- Sources, validates, evaluates (VSC) and develops suppliers for a continuous increase of their level of performance. Prepare supplier reviews information.

- Promotes partnerships.

- Manages suppliers contracts (CDR)

- Regularly visits trade fairs, showrooms and factories to keep product/market knowledge updated and sources innovative product options for product leaders.

- Makes sure Request For Quotations are sent to the right suppliers (minimum

2), requests quotations and sampling

- Negotiates best terms using cost breakdown technique.

- Organizes and participates in Buyers / Products Leader meetings with suppliers with a leading role.

- Records and share minutes of all discussions, negotiations and decisions immediately after the meetings

- Support the validation of product development steps with the help of the relevant experts within the imparted deadlines.

- Ensure conformity of products, packaging and labeling

- Organizes meeting rituals with all concerned interfaces
