Position: CTO China
Location: Shenzhen or Shanghai, China
Report to: CTO SCHUNK Global, Germany
Key responsibilities:
1) Development of the R&D China strategy and derivation of appropriate measures for its implementation.
2) Successful expansion of SCHUNK-Portfolio for industrial robots, Cobots, AMR, AGV and Humanoid Robotics.
3) Conducting technology scouting to identify and integrate future technologies for next generation of SCHUNK robotic portfolio and robotic ecosystem.
4) Recruitment and coordinating research and development staff in China.
5) Development and optimization of the R&D network regarding suppliers, customers, universities, start-ups, etc.
6) Continuous contact and close collaboration with the headquarters to align strategic goals and projects.
7) Acquisition and management of customer projects to expand the product portfolio and market presence in line with strategic alignment.
Requirements:
1) Master’s degree is preferred, major in mechanical engineer, mechatronics integration, automation or relative fields.
2) Profound knowledge and background in the field of robotics or mechatronic gripping systems.
3) Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with headquarters and international teams.
4) Strong capabilities in technology scouting and innovation management.
5) Experience in the acquisition and management of customer projects.
6) Proficient English language skills, German language skills are an advantage.
7) Strong entrepreneurial mindset, Self-motivated, good communication skills with c-level executives.
8) Strategic thinking and acting, result oriented, clear minded with customer strategy and roadmap.
