Who you are：

We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineer to our Engineering & Supply North East Asian Hub in Qingdao, China. Work of Design Engineer will be related to Power & （Offshore & Cruise businesses in our Business Unit Heat & Gas systems. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you participate design process related to fired boiler and waste heat recovery boiler as well as pressure vessels supplied to offshore, cruise and power plants all over the world. You work in close contact with our Mechanical Chief Design Engineers, other Design Engineers and workshop.

To succeed in this position, you have a few years’ experience from successful technical design work, and you use 3D modelling and Autodesk applications as daily tools in your work. You have applicable technical education (M.Sc./B.Sc.). We appreciate experience from shipbuilding, power plant or manufacturing industry. You get motivation from challenges and can maintain performance while working under pressure. You are cooperative and able to communicate in fluent English.

Your responsibilities

·Product mechanical design

·Coordinating the manufacturing design between Qingdao factory and business teams together with Chief mechanical designer

·Following up and reporting the status of assigned tasks

·Providing development ideas and solutions

What you will know:

Your qualifications

Experience from mechanical design work

Technical education (M.Sc./B.Sc.)

You are familiar with boiler and pressure vessel designs and manufacturing according to norms and standards, such as EN, ASME, DNV etc.

Good practical competence from workshop floor related to manufacturing processes, e.g., cutting and welding of steel parts

Systematic way of working

Fluent English skills

Autodesk applications such as Inventor and Vault
