Supplier Quality Engineer

1. To conduct supplier potential analysis and evaluation for matching projected supplier portfolio from commodity strategy

2. To support in carrying out supplier quality and manufacturing process audit, APQA and PAP as well as risk assessment as well as initiation of counter measures

3. To coordinate supplier on-boarding/re-qualification/evaluation/development/phase-out

4. To support in negotiating of quality related agreements with suppliers

5. Responsible for risk analysis and mitigation actions

6. Act proactively in classification of suppliers

7. Execution of APQP on parts level with supplier; incl. process approval on a timely basis

8. Contribution of supplier specific requirements to the quality strategy of commodity

9. To assist in handling shipment approval

10. Participate in supplier decision and coordination of supplier escalation procedures

11. To perform ad hoc job task as and when assigned by manager

Job Requirements

1. Holder of Bachelor Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

2. 5+ years of hands on experience in mechanical components including; stamping, machining, sintering, rubber and plastic etc. as well as OEM products commodities (assembly & accessories)

3. Possessed with VDA

6.3 certified auditor qualification is an advantage

4. Equipped with solid experience of garden product/forestry industry is an added advantage

5. Strong negotiation and communication as well as analytical skills

6. Good command of both speaking and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin

7. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT and Chinese word processing

8. Familiar with SAP system is a plus

9. Willing to travel (mainly inside ASEAN region and to Mainland China)
