Job Description Summary
As an Automation Engineer in Micron Xi’an site, you are responsible for discover the manufacturing pain point and can join the design process for suitable automation projects. To improve the manufacturing efficiency, to optimize cycle time and equipment utilization by deploy the hardware and software automation project. In this role, you will be working with internal and external teams to develop the project design, manage the project deployment for all the manufacturing and storage area.
Job Description
Develop, maintain, and improve the existing and future automation projects, include software system and hardware tools.
Initiate proactive and continuous improvement projects in areas across the factory including manufacturing methods and processes, quality, software systems, layout, tool design and capability, cycle time, key tool metrics (availability, utilization, and performance efficiency), maintenance and routine tasks, and other manufacturing support operation.
Participate in the creation, maintenance, improvement, and training of: software, reports, and metrics used by Backend Production and Engineering.
Benchmark Backend performance against Micron and world class industry.
Design and coordinate projects with internal and external team.
Communicate with other Backend and departments to ensure that BKMs are shared and that the OI group has a strong partnership with other teams.
Provide periodic department updates to review current status and future goals and objectives.
Lead & support on site physical and data automation.
