Job Profile Summary Description:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for one or more closely

related design engineering teams at our strategic partners and reports to the Engineering Director.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the project strategy/ roadmap, managing the product

throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing functional and technical requirements, defining the product vision.

It also includes supporting and communicating with the Product manager in our headquarter and operations.

The job includes ensuring that newly developed products meet the company’s overall strategy and

goals.

This person should possess strong analytical skills to allow him/her to make decisions around product development in order to minimize time to market.

As an Engineering Manager Electronics, you will be responsible for a team of Electronical Engineers as

well as setting-up and maintaining strategic partnerships with suppliers and developers.

In this role you will be providing person

-focused support and guidance for the engineers and will be responsible for helping recruit, onboard and mentor new team members.

Your team’s main task is to transfer the conceptual designs from the European R&D team into

devices that are suited for reliable and stable mass production.

You are closely involved in the product

developments from the very beginning in order for you and your team to built a thorough knowledge of the products and their purposes.

That way you are able to perfectly represent R&D towards internal stakeholders (Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc…) as well as external partners (suppliers, certifications instances…)

Together with your team you handle product improvements and cost reduction trajectories as well as

research for new processes and technologies

Additional Information：

As Engineering Manager

-Electronics, you are responsible for:

?

Electronics Engineering department management à Organization, approval limit, budget control, headcount plan, training & development plan, procedure setup & improvement…

?

Providing day-to-day people management and support for a talented team of in-house engineers, guiding and supporting their work.

?

Collaborate with the Headquarter R&D team to translate business needs into technical solutions.

?

Liaise with external production partners to ensure products meet our stringent quality requirements and projects are delivered on time.

?

Encourage innovation and creative thinking in order to find the right solutions to meet the manufacturing demands

?

Grow the team through recruitment of new engineers and ensure rapid, effective onboarding of them

?

Electronic design review Production function structure review, hardware & gerber design review, certificate & test review, China technology & components’ localization review, EC review

?

R&D new technology research and design application (=Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the company’s R&D efforts)

?

Lead design improvements and cost reduction trajectories

?

Product function test review and setup arrangement – Implement testing protocols to ensure the reliability and performance of electronic components and systems

?

Work closely together with the quality assurance team to resolve product issues

?

Validate projects’ electronical related suppliers’ selection

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

?

Major in Electronics

?

3 + years relevant working experience as an electronics engineering manager or R&D manager

?

Great verbal and written English – Clear and efficient English communication skills

Product structure knowledge is a plus

Great knowledge of electronic technology application à Wide / narrow band, wifi, bluetooth, video flow, voice flow, APP communication, PLC, NFC, electro-sensor, electro-magnet, power supply…

Good knowledge of SMT, ICT, FCT, PCBA glue process, PCBA coating, assembly process, components’ property

Good knowledge of Euro and US product certificate including but not limited to CE, UL, ETL…

Experience in cooperating with a European enterprise is a plus

A willingness to get hands on solving problems and creating understanding and alignment
