职位描述

Teaching and managing student learning:
2. Teach across the major areas of Key Stage 3, IGCSE and A-Level. Introduce students to visual elements of art and fashion, color theory, fashion history, and textile manipulations; and to guide students to develop creativity, visual awareness, critical and cultural understanding.
3. Encourage students to explore a range of process and techniques in fashion design/and or illustration, costume design, constructed textiles, screen printing, batik, digital-printed textiles, and surface pattern designs.
4. Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the progression of teaching subject and relevant examinations.
5. All secondary school curriculum and assessment guidelines.
6. Set appropriate and demanding expectations for students’ learning and motivation. Set clear targets for students' learning, building on prior attainment and experiences.
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Holder of Bachelor Degree or above of Fine Art/ Fashion Design, and teaching certificate.
2. Hold a valid teaching certification in Art and Design or equivalent subject.
3. Experience in EdExcel Textiles, CAIE Art and Design, or AQA Design and Technology Textiles or other UK based examination board preferred, but not required.
4. Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the progression of Art with reference to Fashion and Textile Design. Example: sketching, design development, techniques, textile manipulation, sewing, fabric dying, or other techniques of fashion and textiles design development; leading students in artist research and experimentation within their art field.
5. Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a school setting, experience at the level of the A Level curriculum is a plus.
6. Strong teamwork, cross-cultural communication ability, fluent in English and can teach in bilingual.
7. Support Yew Wah's values and have passion for teaching students.
