General Responsibilities and Duties:
The Global Business Development Officer will implement an effective sales strategy for ISS services to schools in designated geographic areas, concentrating on operationalizing and executing strategies developed by senior leadership to achieve budgeted revenues. Key areas of focus include ISS EDUrecruit school memberships, ISS EDUlearn passport sales, ISS School Marketplace enrollments, and sponsorships of ISS events. The Global Sales Manager will undertake a variety of direct and indirect contacts with schools and organizations to promote and create loyalty to ISS and ensure the growth and sustainability of ISS services.
Scope of Responsibility:
Sales in the Asia-Pacific region
Reporting Accountability:
The Global Sales Manager reports to the ISS Vice President (Asia Pacific) for daily operational matters and with regards to responsibility for meeting goals and targets set by the service departments. Each service department provides support for the Global Sales Manager’s efforts, including product information/demonstrations and school contact introductions and conversations (virtually, at conferences, and during school visits, as appropriate).
Qualifications and Experience
· At least four years’ successful experience in sales and lead management.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales campaigns and close deals.
· Effective collaboration with staff and partners to maximize sales efforts.
· Ability to prioritize, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
· Demonstrated high level of initiative, commitment and professionalism
· Demonstrated competence in the use of relevant technology
· Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
· A global mindset with the ability to navigate and adapt to diverse cultural contexts
· Willingness to travel as required
· Willingness to work in different time zones
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Meet sales targets for services and related KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis.
· Develop and implement a comprehensive prospecting plan, including targets and methodology, building a pipeline and converting prospects into clients.
· Document all activities within ISS’ s CRM to maintain accurate and current records.
· Build relationships with current customers to identify unmet needs and cross-sell additional solutions.
· Establish a network and leverage resources in order to develop new business opportunities.
· Based on prospective client interactions, provide advice for marketing campaigns about how most effectively to connect with clients in the target groups.
· Confidently present to individuals, groups and large audiences about the benefits of ISS products in order to gain sales.
· Communicate with members of the program and support services teams to maximize effectiveness of ISS’s sales efforts.
· Collaborate with ISS staff to analyze sales information to identify new business opportunities, increase sales, engage with potential new customers, and convert them into clients.
· Refer potential other business, such as leadership searches, consulting contracts, and SMO contracts, to the relevant team.
