BOA Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd. is a legal branch established by BOA Technology Inc. in China, responsible for the liaison and management of the company's OEM and suppliers, technical support for all cooperative brand factories and solving quality problems, as well as the marketing and sales of the entire Greater China.

Overview of Role

Reporting to the Manager of Product Commercialization & Engineering, you will act as a versatile technical expert. Your primary focus will be to support Advanced Product Development in New Technology, Materials, and Processing. Working closely with the Industrial Design team based in Denver, you will play a crucial role in selecting suitable product and process technologies for our new generation products. Moreover, you will engage with the Partner Product Innovation Development (PPID) team to drive material innovation and selection efforts. Your responsibilities will encompass qualifying new product and process technologies, delivering technical support to manufacturing partners, and ensuring that all initiatives are in line with BOA's expectations for cost-effectiveness, quality, and speed to market.

Core Responsibilities

* Reflect and role model BOA's vision and values, demonstrating passion for our mission across the Manufacturing Excellence team and the broader organization.

* Jointly research industrial trends and new technologies used in various production processes across different regions and markets, collaborating closely with the US team.

* Work with the US Product Development team to establish and maintain a technology library supporting product development and cost efficiency initiatives.

* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of plastic and metal product decoration, including post-processing cost analysis.

* Be a collaborative partner with the PPID team in understanding what upper materials exist in the market that enable our best performance fit solutions

* Proactively source and explore cost-efficient processes and technologies.

* Validate and integrate technology with vendors into existing and new products.

* Investigate future manufacturing trends to develop innovative and sustainable manufacturing methods.

* Build and foster partnerships with suppliers, creating qualification and implementation plans for new technologies, processes, and systems.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Plastics Engineering or a related field.

* 8+ years of direct experience in technical sourcing or supplier management, with a strong understanding of relevant technologies.

* Intermediate expertise in evaluating technologies with moderate complexity problem-solving skills.

* Extensive experience in plastics and metal post-processing; experience with textiles is a plus.

* Ability to travel globally, primarily to vendor factories and BOA global offices.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
