Summary Description
Candidate is responsible for process technology problem solving, focusing on the interface with Supplier. This is a hands-on, dynamic role requiring some traveling to suppliers.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage technical process interface with supplier.
2. Work closely with supplier on process issues. Participate in technology development, device engineering, and ongoing sustaining engineering activities with internal groups.
3. Drive thorough investigation of the root cause, and solutions to process/yield issues and its impact on product production, performance, and reliability.
4. Manage and mitigate technology risks for multiple projects in parallel.
5. Evaluate suppliers’ capability in meeting Knowles requirements. Participate in supplier development programs when requires.
6. Engage parties in decision making and drive to timely closure and thorough follow-through.
7. Knowledge of Substrate or PCB device physics and competitive industry landscape is required.
8. Participates in New Product Introduction, assist R&D and/or AME in developing new products/techniques/capabilities.
9. Participate in Knowles supplier Quality/Business Review meetings when assigned.
10. Coordinate with respective factory QA on customer visits/audits.
11. Supplier management; manages supplier scorecard, audit, and quality review meeting.
12. Ensure works carried out comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001, and other applicable customer quality requirements.
