Job Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for directing operations with full management for production, facility, equipment maintenance, quality and safety. This position will be fully responsible for maintaining production to achieve budgeted volumes and quality standards.
Specified Responsibilities:
Managing a contract manufacturer effectively boils down to clear expectations, strong communication, monitoring performance, and ensuring mutual alignment.
By establishing strong partnerships, continuously improving processes, managing costs efficiently, and being agile in responding to challenges; ensure a smooth and productive relationship with the contract manufacturers.
General Responsibilities:
61 Manage quality strategies collectively with site leadership achieve short and long term objectives. Provide leadership in execution through a structured approach
61 Translates customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products
61 Manage day to day manufacturing operations including activities with material management and production scheduling to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
61 Manage resources to meet organizational objectives
61 Manage and motivate individuals and teams to achieve breakthrough improvements at all levels in the organization
61 Provide a safe and conducive working environment that promotes creativity and innovation
61 Accountable for quality and delivery of products
61 Manages activities with management team to implement cost effective systems of control
61 Support organizational environmental, health and safety goals and lead effort in manufacturing
General Experience / Qualifications:
61 A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
61 Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
61 Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
61 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
61 Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
61 Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
61 Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
61 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
61 Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
