1. Accountable for the quality of the electronics design.

2. Ensure common of components & platforms are used for optimal product quality and time to market.

3. Pro-actively provide technical support for Quality problems.

4. Stay up-to-date about product application trends and standard updates and implement in the product design.

5. Scouting of new technologies and options to improve product performance and cost not limited to analog solutions only.

6. Technical preparation and investigation for coming projects,

7. Manage the electronic design resources within the Project timescales defined, design planning of projects as required, assigning tasks to design team members and follow-up,

8. Support production & sales for technical analysis or new solutions upon request.

9. Support factory engineering on product level to optimize processes for quality speed & cost. (DFM)

Management tasks:

10. Identify training requirements of engineering team

11. Assist in performance reviews

12. Coaching of (junior) electronic designers in technical capabilities and internal tools & processes.

13. Support manager in collaboration with other sites & departments to ensure effective bi-directional transfer of product knowledge to enable reliable designs.

Requirements:

· Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (minimum passed CET level

4).

· At least 5 years working experience in an English speaking foreign company.

· Bachelor in Software or Electronics related discipline and 5 years related design experience.

· Experience of engineering a product from design through to manufacture with extensive know how on detailed testing to ensure quality as well as approvals qualification.

· Working knowledge of Lighting products & application.

· Bench experience is required, ideally with experience of working with live mains.

· Basic MS Word, Intermediate MS Excel, Basic ERP knowledge.
