Barco IX is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our growing team. You will be part of a broader international team based in Wuxi, China.

As a Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to the embedded software test team. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing testing strategies, collaborating with development teams, and providing UX guidance during feature refinement.

Key responsibilities:

Test &Validation responsibilities:

- Create test objectives for new features aligned with project objectives and quality standards.

- Plan, design, implement and execute relevant SW test plans with our hardware and peripherals.

- Analyze and report test results, find gaps in test coverage, report and track defects to development teams and follow up closely on the resolution.

- Provide QA approval for SW release readiness

- Manage the releases of embedded software (engineering requests, release notes, follow up implementation in production, etc.)

Team activities:

- Identify and prioritize testing activities within the team to align with project objectives and timelines.

- Assign tasks, provide guidance, and support team members to ensure optimal performance.

- Oversee the execution of various testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Interactions with developers and Product Owners

- Collaborate with SW and HW developers, architects and product owners to improve the UX and testability of our software.

- Promote shift-left testing approach by being present in refinements and sprint plannings

- Help improve the CI system by transforming manual tests towards automated tests by collaboration with the automated testing team.

Competencies:

- You have a hands-on, ‘can-do’ attitude.

- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- You are a team player and motivator; you have good communication skills in English.

- Knowledge on image projection technology is a big plus.

- Knowledge of ALM is a plus.
