Sr Procurement Engineer

Align category strategic plan to the budget

Lead and manage sourcing execution and sourcing strategy implementation

Actively participate in both internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) in close collaboration with production, finance, product management and supply chain.

Lead supplier selection and fact-based negotiations

Define improvement actions related to the existing supplier base in terms of cost optimization, KPI implementation & follow up, etc.

Take the ownership of supplier management and negotiates contracts with supplier (in order to maximize value in terms of price, flexibility, risk, product advantage, ….)

Perform supplier analysis and provide business intelligent reports required for procurement activities

Investigate, select, and develop sources of supply to minimize supply risks and to optimize TCO (total cost of ownership)

Involved in cross functional sourcing team in various projects and via :

contract management (legal compliancy)

supplier relationship management

extensive use of preferred supplier lists

optimized sourcing and e-sourcing methods

Actively involved in category management and sourcing

In charge of sourcing with focused area of Asia Pacific region, especially for outside China market. Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future business needs for Asia pacific market.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Competency:

Min. 5 years experience of Procurement and/or Sourcing with the focus on commodity steel and steel related – wire, wire rod, tubes, profiles; other commodities: stamping; resins – PVC, PS; plastics – injection moulding

Experience of supplier sourcing, selection, negotiation and relationship management

Experiences in manufacturing environment

Experience in multinational or JV organization, especially in fencing sector is an asset

ERP systems knowledge (SAP or IFS an advantage);

Fluent English skills in both written and verbal;

Excellent communication & negotiation skills

Willingness to travel : 20-30%
