1. Technical Specifications:

- Able to understand and work with detailed technical packages (tech packs) that include specifications for materials, stitching, dimensions, hardware, and other design elements.

- Update tech packs based on design changes and feedback.

2. Pattern Making

- Understand and able to Develop and refine patterns for handbags based on design sketches.

3. Sampling and Prototyping:

- Collaborate with factories and prototype makers to develop sample handbags.

- Review samples for quality and adherence to design specifications, providing feedback for adjustments.

4. Construction Techniques:

- Determine and document the appropriate construction methods and techniques.

- Optimize construction for manufacturing efficiency and product durability.

5. Fit and Functionality:

- Assess handbag prototypes for fit, functionality, and ergonomics.

- Make recommendations for adjustments to improve usability and comfort.

6. Quality Assurance:

- Establish quality standards and processes for production.

- Conduct inspections and quality checks on samples and finished products.

7. Cross-Department Collaboration:

- Work closely with designers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure alignment on specifications and production capabilities.

- Communicate technical requirements to ensure clear understanding across teams.

8. Problem Solving:

- Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the design and production process.

- Implement improvements based on production feedback and analysis.

9. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain thorough documentation of design iterations, changes, and production milestones.

- Report on progress and issues to stakeholders and management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

1. Must have 5+ years of technical design experience in leather handbags, with specialized expertise in handbag design, construction, and manufacturing processes.

2. Deep understanding of design aesthetics and technical engineering for handbag. Strong problem-solving skills to address complex production challenges with actionable solutions.

3. Ability to bridge creative vision and practical production requirements, ensuring design integrity while optimizing manufacturability.

4. Fluent in spoken and written English.

5. Strong Sense of Responsibility & Ownership:

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a commitment to seeing tasks through to successful completion. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) .

7. Willingness to travel frequently to southeast Asia
