Senior Merchandiser for Apparel

Responsibilities:

1. At development stage; sourcing new suppliers if needed, negotiating and explaining to them for testing requirements, testing process and packing details, etc., arranging factories technical and compliance audits for the intended suppliers. Experienced in detailed costing for apparel, fabrics & accessories.

2. At production stage, manage critical paths for production, foresee and avoid potential problems and or solve existing problems.

3. Pre-Production samples testing and production samples testing arrangements, testing results explanations for failed parts or deviations.

4. Checking /commenting independently on all samples before sending them to customers.

5. Handling all daily details include but not limited to translating TP and requests from sales/customers, making good and clear charts for inquiry and production to suppliers/sales/customers.

6. Effectively arranging and communicating all kinds of inspections/reports with QC department and suppliers.

7. Proactive communication internally/externally and follow up strictly with company’s procedures such as blockchain implementation on development and production.

8. Sending weekly parcels to customers as well as daily parcels with suppliers.

Qualifications:

1. 10+ years of merchandising working experience in mainly apparel products in a foreign trade company.

2. Experience in workwear, uniforms, fabrics, bags, and other nonstandard accessories etc. is a plus.

3. Major in textile degree is preferable. Major in international trade is secondary.

4. Strong order management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

5. Ability to travel for supplier visits and pp meeting activities.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and sourcing tools.

7. Work proactively, detailed, organized with a quick self-learning ability, and full of enthusiasm.

8. Proficiency (oral and written) in English and Chinese.

9. Experiences in Canadian and European market is advantage.

10. Good team player.

11. Willing to travel.
