Job Summary
We would like to have approbation leader, who have experience to handle the products, such as communication products, consumer electronic products, type approval.
Familiar to the countries e.g. US / EU / UK / Asia / Australia etc.. , regulations / directives to support development team to apply product approval.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Certification
Research and interpret applicable industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, IEC, GDPR, etc.).
Lead the certification process for new products/systems, including preparation of technical files and test reports.
Liaise with third-party certification bodies (e.g., T05V, SGS, FDA) to facilitate audits and approvals.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and review approval documents (e.g., Design Dossiers, Risk Assessments, Declarations of Conformity).
Maintain up-to-date records of certifications, licenses, and compliance reports.
Testing & Validation Support
Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements.
Coordinate prototype testing (e.g., safety, EMC, environmental) and analyze results for compliance gaps.
Cross-functional Coordination
Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other teams to address compliance issues early in the development cycle.
Train internal stakeholders on regulatory changes and approval processes.
Continuous Improvement
Monitor updates to standards/regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
Optimize approval workflows to reduce time-to-market.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
Additional certifications in regulatory affairs (e.g., RAC) are a plus.
Experience:
5+ years in approval engineering, regulatory compliance, or quality assurance within consumer electronic products or communication products.
Hands-on experience with certification processes (e.g., CE marking, FCC, RoHS, REACH).
