固件工程师Firmware Engineer Gaming Products

Job purpose

The purpose of the role is to support the Engineering team (in Honk Kong and France) in the areas of product development, testing and continuous improvement while making the link between the external developers and the Engineering team.

Missions

- Tests/Analysis of firmware for functional aspects (basic functions, compliance with defined user interface, compliance with defined specifications…).

- Tests/Analysis of firmware for technical aspects (USB/Bluetooth analysis, charging current, charging time, Wireless range…).

- Tests/Analysis of firmware against official specifications from Sony, Msoft, Apple…

- Tests/Analysis of firmware in use with dedicated APP for PC, MAC, Msoft store, mobiles.

- Technical communication and exchanges with the firmware and APP developers to solve observed issues and improve our products.

- Help to rework some part of the firmware source code in order to solve observed issues and improve our products, in collaboration with the firmware and APP developers.

- Make the link between the external firmware and APP developers and the HK and FR Engineering teams.

- Development of internal tools/tester/test benches to test/analyse the firmware and APPs.

- Help on the development of SDK (for PC, PS5 and Xbox platforms) and on the tests of SDK (using console devkits, for example), in collaboration with the developers.

Requirements

- Degree in Programming Engineering or related firmware development disciplines.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in firmware and development programming and firmware testing and analysis

- Knowledge of C++ programming language

- Knowledge of USB, Bluetooth, RF and Audio protocols. Knowledge of SDK would be desirable.

- Experience in communicating with China firmware and APP developers.

- Good oral and written communication skills in English & Mandarin.
