International BD Manager Southeast Asia

Key Responsibilities:
Driving the performance of the existing Southeast Asian markets and ensuring that the business contines to excel both revenue & profit and business growth targets
Conduct in depth market assessment based on market visits, competitive set, RTM options (with ecommerce focus), commercial proposition and financial evaluation
Implement Execution plan for future new markets and customers in the area based on market assesment
Developing commercial and activity plans with (new) commercial policies including RTM, sales, distribution channels, terms, pricing and promotional & consumer activity in line guidelines as set out by Commercial GM
Produce aligned plans in conjunction with the Product & Marketing managers and EC Manager and strategies in-line with consumer trends and demands, paying specific attention to e-commerce and with an aim to step change current ways of working.
Represent the CyDen Brand’s as the main point of contact for distributors, e-commerce platforms & market places, service partners and/or other customers in the area, with responsibility for creating and developing outstanding interpersonal relationships.
Develop best in class and efficient RTM models in the area with the aim of longueity and sustainable results and change current footprint where needed.
Using market knowledge and external data to drive the NPD agenda with channel marketing activation and product teams developing best in class launch plans.
Adhere to internal process & timescales for forecasting and business planning.
Ensure having legal contracts/Terms & Conditions with all partners, customers, service providers etc.
Oversee customer development, managing performance, fiscal strategies, market share, sales, product category and margin development.
Use insights, data and analysis to identify trends, issues and opportunities to identify and deliver partner growth.
Builds and manages long term relationships externally (agencies, legal partners and customers) and internally (Regulatory, R&D, Product & Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Factories)
Manage financial audits of 3rd party customer spends and payments of activity and marketing spends
On a monthly basis obtain actual sales, stocks, demand forecasts and projections for a rolling 12 months.
Develop a governance and support model for all our customers.
Key objectives/KPI’s
Grow markets and aim to achieve a top 3 position in our categories within 3 years.
Grow gross and net margin and enable Southeast Asia markets to be margin accretive to the company.
Grow market funnel and CVR
Skills, know-how & experience:
Must Have
The International Business Development Manager should have a strong commercial background, with specific expertise in international business development within consumer goods and/or beauty, various business & RTM models (distributors, ecommerce retailers and logistic partners) having documented successful growth of international businesses and e-commerce channels. S/he will have a well-rounded leadership style and demonstrate the ability to grow mutually beneficial relationships with our international customers and our internal stakeholders.
The International Business Development Manager will have affinity for local consumers and customers, and bring passion, strength of character, rolling sleeve up attitude and a bias for action. They will be energised by the challenge of building sustainable footprints in our international markets. They will bring a best-in-class ecommerce business development and commercial skillset and will have demonstrable experience in managing a variety of markets and converting digital consumer activation into successful sales.
Ideal Experience
Consumer focused category experience
Experience gained in a product focused, consumer facing sector or broad consumer products with exposure to different routes to market including ecommerce channels and digital consumer activation.
Broad international & channel experience
Candidate has experience in working with international partners, this being ecommerce platforms, ecommerce retailers, ecommerce distributors and brokers/service partners around the world and has experience of building thorough plans for sustainable market presence and market entry.
Commercial skillset
Broad, multi-functional experience gained in a brand led ecommerce business and knows how to develop successful brand funnels. Likely to have experience from business development & sales and wider functions (procurement, supply chain, finance) and evidence of being able to apply knowledge in other areas.
P&L experience
Excellent commercial acumen and experience of managing a commercial P&L and of building complex in market value chains.
International travel will be part of the parcel of this role to get under the skin of our markets, their unique culture and challenges and to build the relationships we need as an IPL challenger brand.
Other attributes:
Must be able to speak and write English fluently
Some International travel will be required
