SUMMARY
The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with factory management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: staffing, employee relations, performance management, and employment law compliance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
61 Work with departments to source, select and hire qualified candidates to fill vacant positions using cost-effective techniques and in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.
61 Write job postings to post and advertise positions.
61 Review applications and conduct interviews to obtain information regarding applicant's work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements.
61 Create and coordinate job advertising in various media. Attend job fairs and develop and maintain contacts with colleges, universities, alumni groups, and other organizations to identify potential applicants.
61 Work with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates. Utilize Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
61 Meet with department leaders to discuss and establish staffing objectives and ensure they are achieved.
61 Assist with training line management on recruiting, interviewing, and the selection process as required.
61 Support a diverse workforce and comply with local and regional hiring guidelines and procedures, particularly for applicant tracking.
61 Keep abreast of market trends and demands impacting the company’s ability to attract competitive candidates.
61 Assist headcount planning, forecasting and reporting
61 Employee Relations
o Solve problems of labor relations by effective, punctual ways and coordinate the relevant issues according to labor law, coordinate supervisors to communicate with staff.
o Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond scope to appropriate level.
o Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
o Act as a true HR Business Partner and provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance.
o Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
61 Performance Management
o Plan and organize annual employee performance management process for all employees in MFE, including salaried staff and shop floor workers.
o Provide performance management training and refreshing training to all employees.
o Follow up performance review progress and ensure performance review process be conducted properly and completed on time.
61 Other tasks as defined in related company procedure or assigned by the direct supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
61 Experience - At least 5-8 years related experience on Human Resources function including Recruitment, Cash & Benefits Compensation, Training & Development and Employee Relations. Previous experience in working in Multinational Company is a definite an asset.
61 Language - Proficient in English and Mandarin is essential.
61 Soft skills – Attention to detail, well-organized and able to work independently to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to adapt fast pace work environment and dedicated to work with cross functional/location team members.
61 Solid understanding to standard labor law and regulation
61 Excellent MS Office skills
61 Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
61 A good team player
EDUCATION & SKILLS
61 Education – Degree in Human Resources Management or business related disciplines.
61 Knowledge - This position needs to be well versed in China Labor Law and understand local Jiujiang HR practices.
