IT Business Analyst - Intern

Summary:

The interns will play a BA role in Data project for doing business requirement understanding, functional testing, data validation, and some admin support. By taking this internship, they will get hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a live data project which will be an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in big data management, data analysis, and data quality assurance within a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

1- Business Requirements and Data Quality (Primary Focus - ~70% of time)

85 Business Requirement Analysis – communicate with end users to understand business requirements, summarize to Functional Specifications with Data simulation and then deliver the requirement to developers

85 Data Validation: perform systematic checks to reconcile data among source system, business reports, and final reporting dashboards

85 Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining relevant documentations (FS, test cases, etc.)

2-Administrative Support (Secondary Focus - ~30% of time)

85 Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing minutes for project-related discussions.

85 Help with project tracking by updating task statuses in tools like Devops; raise and track operations issues via ServiceNow

85 Manage project documentation in Teams folders

85 Support the team with other ad-hoc operational tasks as needed

Desired Qualifications & Skills

84 Currently pursuing a Bachelor/master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related majors

84 Basic understanding of data concepts and databases; familiarity with SQL is a plus

84 Better to have experience with data visualization tools like Power BI

84 Better to have basic knowledge on finance domain

84 Communicational English both in written and oral

84 Excellent communication and organizational skills
