At dormakaba, our Mechanical Design Engineers are a vital part of our business and future growth. We challenge our team to develop products and product enhancements as defined by the company and our customers to better meet their needs. In this role, the Engineer will be engaged in research, concept development, and engineering analysis. They will support the project team with technical input, product knowledge, engineering recommendations, and documentation creation to support product development and mass production. This is accomplished by study of technical data, product manuals, physical product testing and evaluation, and CAD data analysis. We expect great things form our design engineers and give them the opportunities to utilizes their talents in productive ways.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for conceptual design and 3D modeling for access control products including locksets, exit device and door reader.
2. Upgrading existing access control products. Also responsible for engineering design and tolerance stack-up analysis, and completion of DFMEA.
3. Hands-on laboratory and field testing of all product changes and new product introductions, conducting and approving environmental test, etc.
4. Assist oversea department to finish the installation instructions, and production follow up and support.
Requirements:
1. BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 3-5 years of experience designing Mechanical components and Systems.
3. Proven history of Analysis, Collaboration, Sound Engineering Judgement, Effective Planning, and Organization.
