Business Development Manager

61 Develop product materials to be used and left with the customers to explain product attributes and advantages.

61 Relationship with key customer contacts to become an invaluable resource to the OEM.

61 Collect and share cross region and OEM product data with peers.

61 Generate and cultivate new leads that can be given to commercial when RFQ’s are released.

61 Awareness, tracking and communication of each OEM’s global standards for the product.

61 Establish and communicate engineering performance and commercial targets.

61 Development of market pricing targets and use them to drive internal costs during development.

61 Make versus buy strategies in coordination with manufacturing operations.

61 Assist with cost effective manufacturing location(s) strategies.

61 Identify key customer contacts in Purchasing and Engineering at target customers and establish relationships.

61 Quantify cross customer data into a strategy that can maximize sales opportunities.

61 Develop plans for technical shows/meetings with customers to expand brand awareness of HDT.

61 Use market information to form Advance Technology Phase 0 projects aimed at specific OEM needs and product enhancements.

61 Utilize and support use of the pre-tracker for all opportunities that are being cultivated. New opportunities must be documented as they are being developed.

61 Support the transparent communication of status for all open items.

61 Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

61 Bachelor’s Degree in related field, business and/or engineering preferred, or significant company and product experience.

61 Knowledge of automotive, metal/rubber/plastic pipeline products and specific experience in the product to be managed.

61 Possesses good judgment and interaction skill.

61 Fluency in written and spoken English is preferred.

61 Self-directed with a high degree of self-motivation.

61 Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

61 Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

61 High ability to deal with ambiguity and communicate solutions to a team.

61 Willingness to travel a significant amount.

61 Others as required.

Physical Requirements

61 Regularly travels to potential customer sites.
