高级产品工程师(机械创新)

Responsible for conceiving, prototyping and developing innovative mechanical cosmetic packaging solutions with a focus on functionality, dispensing, aesthetics, and sustainability.

This role involves creating complex 3D models, prototyping, and testing new concepts, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to translate functional requirements & formula constraints into feasible technical conceptions.

1. Concept development

●Design and prototype Innovative packaging mechanisms (primary packaging / dispensing systems) from conceptual brief to mechanical design considering functionality (sealing, reliability, etc.), technical limitations, ergonomics & user experience, cost, quality and sustainability constraints. Leveraging rapid prototyping and design thinking methodology.

●Create complex 3D CAD models using SolidWorks and iterate conception using 3D printed prototypes, user feedback and manufacturability constraints.

●Supervise engineering aspects and project management of unit tool development with the collaboration of Packaging development engineer. Conduct mechanical and functional testing of trial samples. Handle fine tuning of mechanical design and take engineering decisions on conception adjustment during unit tool development

●Support cross functional innovation projects (Collaboration with Formula and product innovation, marketing and new product development engineering) to translate functional requirements into feasible technical assemblies.

2. Technical Intelligence

●Be force of proposal to initiate new packaging concepts & dispensing systems within Innovation roadmap

● Follow up new technologies developed by key partners & leverage their new capabilities into packaging concepts

●Scoot new technologies to be implemented in cosmetic packaging

Requirements：

1. Education and Experience (MUST HAVE)

●Degree holder or above in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines.

●Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing OEM product mechanical design, preferably in plastic injection molding, or cosmetic/ tech industry/ smartphone case industry / small appliance industry, dispensing systems industry (pumps / food packaging)

●Strong Expertise in SolidWorks on complex mechanical parts for 2D &3D designing plastic products is a must

●Good command of English, Mandarin or Cantonese

● Soft skills: hands on, will to experiment, creative thinking, Proactive & Autonomous. Problem solving skills

2. Preferred Criteria (NICE TO HAVE)

●Fluent in English

●Experience in innovation and prototyping

● Inventor of mechanical design utility patent
