SUMMARY
The Senior Supply and Inventory Planner is responsible for global end-to-end supply and inventory planning for the life cycle of each product. He/she will collaborate with global cross-functional teams of Demand Planning, Sales, Sales Operations, Product Engineering, and Category Management on new product launches, product transitions, vendor related issues, capacity, production and any Supply/Inventory related functions. The Supply & Inventory Planner is responsible for analyzing overall inventory dollars, inventory levels, and company metrics in relation to Supply.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
> Review global forecast of customer demands and approve purchase order requisitions for finished good products and related components.
> Manage the timing of purchase orders, vendor capacity, vendor related issues throughout product life cycle. Maintain and update systems part planning parameters for all business segments – weeks of supply, part status code, lead times, ABC Codes, and MOQ/EOQ quantities.
> Monitor production plans on finished good items. Expedites and reschedules open purchase orders to suit supply-planning requirements.
> Manage capacity planning. Build forecast report and review capacity with vendor on a regular basic and provide solution to supply constraints. Analyze supply-demand matching based on MRP/ERP run to determine root cause changes, shortages and surpluses, and identify and drive course corrections.
> Manage long lead-time material/component planning and delivery. Manage material exposures, MOQs, and manufacturing lead times.
> Manage new item launches, specific promotion, product transitions, and strategic buys by collaborating with Demand Planning, Sales, Sales Ops, and Product Management throughout the year for all global markets.
> Manage the overall inventory levels across all business segments to optimize on time service and fill rate. Establish appropriate safety stock levels and inventory targets. Responsible for inventory in global warehouse location, assist to meet company goal of inventory turns.
> Develop and drive integrated processes to ensure continuous improvement in inventory at vendor location and global warehouses
> Advise Product Integrity teams with inventory status and levels as needed.
> Collaborate with demand planning teams on forecast trends.
> Overlook affiliate task – initiate testing log, permit summary, truck plans, overlooking PO approval and container planning. Participate and contribute to affiliate S&OP meetings.
> Assist in the part set up process with Demand Planning and Product Management Team.
> Fulfilling individual projects and responsibilities with-in the team.
> Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
> 5+ years of experience in supply planning and inventory planning.
> Operations Planning (S&OP) experience preferred.
> Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
> Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR) experience preferred.
> Willing and able to participate on international calls outside of normal working hours.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
> Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, or related field or equivalent work-related experience is required.
> Ability to execute and excel in high-paced organization
> Ability to deal with changing environments, tight timelines and multiple priorities
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS
> Experience with Microsoft Office to include Intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
