Designworks boasts one of the largest full-service apparel and footwear teams in Australia, comprising over one hundred skilled designers, producers, sales, and marketing professionals.

The company was acquired by the LK Group in December 2020, receiving significant investment for future growth in licensed brands and private label products, as well as expanding into digital platforms and new product categories. In July 2021, LK Group purchased footwear and apparel retailer and wholesaler, Brand Collective.

In April 2022, the two companies merged to create a larger Brand Collective, now the third-largest retail company in Australia, with over 3,000 employees.
