China Chemical Engineering Second Construction Corporation (CCESCC), located in Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi Province known as the "City of Dragons," was established in 1953. It was restructured from the original China Chemical Engineering Second Construction Company and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd., under the management of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The company has the authority to conduct foreign engineering EPC general contracting projects.

The company has a registered capital of 310 million yuan and holds the following qualifications: special-grade qualification for chemical and petroleum construction project general contracting; first-grade qualification for design in the chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries; first-grade qualifications for construction of housing projects, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, and municipal public works; first-grade professional contracting qualifications for pipeline engineering, foundation and base engineering, environmental protection engineering, mechanical and electrical equipment installation, and fire protection facilities; and second-grade qualification for smelting construction project general contracting. The company has 14 specialized subsidiaries including geotechnical investigation, foundation treatment, construction, installation, electrical and instrumentation, non-destructive testing, inspection and testing, anti-corrosion and thermal insulation, large-scale machinery construction, heavy lifting, real estate development, and logistics.
