TFL, headquartered in Germany, was formed through the strategic merger of the leather divisions from Swiss Ciba-Geigy and German Degussa, two prominent chemical conglomerates. Currently, it maintains subsidiaries across major global leather production regions. Specializing in providing innovative products and solutions to tanneries, leather processing companies, and coating machines, TFL is committed to introducing fresh ideas into the market. Its operations encompass the development, manufacture, and sale of specialty chemicals, such as tanning agents, dyes, and post-treatment products, enabling its clients (primarily tanneries) to produce appealing end-products like automotive leather interiors.

In early 2021, TFL acquired Lanxess's organic leather chemistry business, establishing Shengrui (Changzhou) Specialty Materials Co., Ltd. The combined team will integrate both companies' philosophies and experiences, playing a pivotal role in driving sustainable development within the leather industry. Establishing a facility in Changzhou will enhance our global service capabilities for clients.
