Beihang University (Beihang) was founded in 1952. It is a multi-disciplinary, open, and research-oriented university with distinctive features in aerospace technology and engineering. As a national key construction university, Beihang shoulders the historical mission of training high-level talents and conducting basic, forward-looking scientific research and strategic high-tech research. As the first higher education institution of aerospace in New China, Beihang has always been a key construction university of the country. The School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Beihang University originated from the Aviation Engineering Economics Department established in 1956. It is one of the first management departments in China's universities of science and engineering. Over decades of development, it has achieved remarkable success, cultivating more than 6,000 undergraduate, graduate, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows, providing a large number of talents for China's aerospace industry and national economic construction.
