Safran Aircraft Engines (Guiyang) Co., Ltd (formerly Snecma Xinyi Airfoil Casting Co., Ltd) was established in 2006. Located in the heart of the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Guizhou Province, the company covers an area of 10,000 square meters. It employs advanced casting techniques to manufacture low-pressure turbine blades, vanes, and seals for CFM56 and LEAP engines. The CFM56 engine is currently the world's best-selling commercial aircraft engine, while its successor, the LEAP engine, is the fastest-growing engine in commercial aviation history.
In Guiyang, where there are few foreign-invested enterprises, Safran Aircraft Engines Guiyang stands as the sole branch of Safran Group (the world's third-largest aerospace company excluding aircraft manufacturers).
