Helena Forbes is a UK company established in 1997. Helena Forbes Shanghai, a franchise operation founded in 2010 by Jenny Zhong, an experienced fabric buyer with a history of established mill connections in Shanghai and India. In 2011, she was joined by an American partner, Stephen Croll, who has 30 years of trade experience in both Hong Kong and Shanghai.

The company specializes in providing clients with novelty fabrics in short runs and fast turnarounds. Sales of knitted and woven novelty fabrics, including jacquards, denims, wools, laces, faux leather, foils, and metallics, form the bulk of the business. Helena Forbes has built a strong client base over the past two years by delivering innovative fabrics on time at competitive prices.

The company's current clients include C&C, Laundry, GAP, Michael Kors, Ann Taylor, and Carlisle.
