Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center (SPHIC), with an inpatient capacity of 220 beds, is situated within the Shanghai International Medical Zone in Pudong, Shanghai.
SPHIC is equipped with a Siemens particle therapy system featuring a 45-degree beam and three horizontal beam treatment rooms, utilizing pencil beam scanning technology. In addition to the proton and heavy ion system, the center boasts state-of-the-art equipment such as a True Beam linear accelerator, PET/CT, MRI, CT, and SPECT/CT systems. It also offers chemotherapy and a range of cancer screening and diagnostic services.
Backed by the expertise and resources of Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, particularly its multidisciplinary approach and fundamental research capabilities, SPHIC focuses on building and nurturing a professional talent pool. The center has attracted leading physicists, radiation oncologists, and hospital administrators from around the world to form a cutting-edge medical team.
