Quantum Wafer Inc. is a high-tech company specializing in semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices. Quantum Wafer Inc. mainly produces LED epitaxial wafers and high-end LED chips. After packaging, LEDs are widely used in daily life applications such as LED TVs, computer displays, mobile phones, solid-state lighting, large-screen displays, traffic lights, etc. Currently, high-end LED epitaxial wafers are mainly imported in China, and their development and production will fill the gap in the domestic market for high-end LED epitaxial wafers, promote the improvement of supporting industries for chip production and substrate materials, and help the Nanshan District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, and the whole country to move from a gathering area of packaging and application towards the upstream of the industrial chain. Quantum Wafer Inc. is located in the heart of the Zhujiang Delta Industrial Area in Foshan City, near Guangzhou. It takes only 15 minutes by train to reach Guangzhou Metro Station and Guangzhou South High-speed Railway Station. The company has completed the first phase of investment, and the already built factory can accommodate multiple MOCVD machines.

At present, the key technology of LED epitaxial wafers lies in the design of epitaxial layers and the growth process to realize the design. This requires profound professional knowledge, including physics (especially quantum physics), materials science and engineering, chemistry, electronic engineering (especially semiconductor device physics and integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing technology), mechanics, and so on, so the technical difficulty and threshold are very high. As of 2011, high-end epitaxial wafers were difficult to obtain in both the domestic and international markets, which seriously affected the level and quality of domestic LED chips. Quantum Wafer Inc. was established to overcome this technological challenge and market gap, providing high-end epitaxial wafers for domestic companies and accelerating the localization of the highest-level LED technology. The members of Quantum Wafer Inc.'s technical team have rich work experience and educational backgrounds, having worked in different universities and companies, including mainland China, Europe, the United States, Singapore, and Australia. Most have master's or Ph.D. degrees, and some have experience as professors at foreign universities. The company also has a provincial postdoctoral research station, with advanced equipment laboratories, and collaborates with universities and research institutes within and outside the province to develop new LED epitaxial wafers and related chip manufacturing and packaging technologies, ensuring the leading position of its products.
