Enovis is a medical technology company dedicated to creating clinically distinct solutions that yield demonstrably superior patient outcomes and revolutionize clinical workflows. Driven by a culture of perpetual enhancement, exceptional talent, and innovation, we collaborate with healthcare professionals to "create better together."
Our comprehensive portfolio of products, services, and integrated technologies supports active lifestyles.
At Enovis, we believe in "Powering Motion" – the company's ethos of "keeping people moving" – which underscores the belief that activity is fundamental to a healthier lifestyle, enhanced treatment outcomes, and improved healthcare economics. We achieve this through delivering a complete Orthopedic Continuum of Care, encompassing performance, mobility, surgical interventions, and post-operative rehabilitation.
DJO is a dynamic, innovative global enterprise that continues to expand. Founded in 1978 in a garage in Carlsbad, California, by the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line captain, Mark Nordquist, and local lawyer Ken Reed, the company was initially named after their wives, Donna and Joy, thus becoming DonJoy.
DonJoy expanded over time. In 1999, the DonJoy management team orchestrated a leveraged buyout, renaming the company to DJ Orthopedics and taking it public again in 2001. In subsequent years, the company grew significantly, acquiring parts or entirety of seven new businesses.
In the first quarter of 2019, Colfax Corporation, a publicly traded, diversified technology company, acquired DJO as the cornerstone of its new strategic growth initiative in the healthcare sector.
From those humble beginnings in a California garage, DJO has evolved into a global provider of high-quality orthopedic devices, boasting divisions such as Bracing & Supports, Surgical, Footcare, Healthcare Solutions, Recovery, and Consumer.
