URBAN ELEPHANT has focused on urban developments in the Pearl River Delta since its establishment in 2009, engaging in various urban projects such as architecture, landscape, urban design, and conceptual planning to enhance the urban environment and its spatial quality. The UE Design Lab in San Francisco focuses on international design experiments, with an emphasis on environmental design and urban renewal. Major project types include cultural, recreational, and educational public facilities. In addition to practical work, we conduct research-oriented projects on traditional architecture and historical town layouts. Urban Elephant believes that each site has its own story, and only by revealing these stories through planning and design can a project be truly successful. An ideal urban space should be diverse and shared, blending with nature, stimulating imagination, and allowing people to feel the subtle care of design in daily life.
Since its founding in 2009, Urban Elephant has improved the quality of urban living spaces through architecture, landscape, and urban design, increasing environmental interest. Our projects mainly focus on public projects in the Pearl River Delta cities, covering a wide range of types including leisure, culture and sports, campuses, offices, exhibitions, as well as academic projects such as residential studies, ancient town studies, renovations, and restorations of old buildings. The American office of Urban Elephant Architecture is dedicated to international design experiments, focusing on using design to revitalize urban vitality and improve urban living environments. Each project has different driving forces and targets different user groups; every site contains unique stories, and only when planning and design cleverly and profoundly reveal these characteristics can they gain historical recognition. Regardless of the complexity of the project, this is the starting point and ultimate goal of Urban Elephant Architecture design.
