Corning Display Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Corning, was inaugurated in December 2015 under the strong support of the Hefei municipal government. Corning invested approximately $1.5 billion to construct a 10.5-generation LCD glass substrate manufacturing facility in the Hefei Xinzhan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. This facility became the world's first manufacturer to produce 10.5-generation LCD glass substrates for OLED and LCD displays. Our premium substrates are utilized by clients to manufacture televisions, laptops, flat panel monitors, and portable electronic devices such as tablets and smartphones. Our exceptional fusion technology provides our key customers with the largest-sized glass substrates that Corning has ever produced globally. As the third display glass substrate production base in China for Corning, the Hefei factory reinforces Corning Display Technology's position as a leading supplier of high-quality LCD glass substrates, while also demonstrating our long-term commitment to co-development with customers in the region.
