Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) operates in more than 50 countries with over 238,583 IT consulting professionals across 55 countries.
In 2002, TCS became the first Indian IT company to enter the Chinese market, establishing itself as the first wholly foreign-owned enterprise in China, maintaining its leading position in the industry.
In 2005, TCS established a joint venture with the Chinese government, Tata Information Technology (China) Co., Ltd. (referred to as TCS China), receiving strong support from the National Development and Reform Commission. The aim was to leverage China's abundant talent pool to build a large-scale global outsourcing base.
Currently, TCS China has five global delivery centers in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen, with over 95% of employees being local Chinese talent. It also offers services in nine languages including English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese.
TCS China provides high-quality IT services to more than 40 large domestic and international clients across industries such as financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, and government sectors.
