公司成立于2015年10月，彩虹星球是一家与用户共创共建共享的安全食材品牌电商平台，也是一家基于区块链的食品安全社区。经过一年的行业探索与产地摸索，鉴于食品安全的严峻现状，于2016年联合陕师大成立了安全检测中心，确保所有产品都经过检测合格后才可以上架。截至目前，已检测样品超过1000个，并且在四年内走访了100多个农场，建立了117项检测标准和110项养殖标准。为了找到适合孩子食用的安全鸡蛋，投入了上百万元，现已推出彩虹星球品牌的鸡蛋，其安全性达到国际高标准。
通过消费者的共同购买与反向订购，彩虹星球降低了产品的成本，将安全健康的食材以优惠价格带给千家万户。公司目前拥有200万高品质用户，主要聚焦西安市场，未来计划服务全国2亿中产家庭，解决大家的饮食决策问题。公司已获得三次融资，先后得到丰厚资本、熊猫资本、普华资本、58战投和晨兴资本的投资。借助资本力量，加速了公司的发展。
