Yew Wah International Education Schools (YWIES) are founded on the extensive experience of Yew Chung International School in providing high-quality international education in Hong Kong and mainland China since 1932. Over the past 80 years, Yew Chung has been dedicated to cultivating students' abilities to address global issues and challenges in the 21st century. The distinctive curriculum developed by Yew Chung and Yew Wah has earned worldwide acclaim. Professors Paul Yip Kwok-wah and Betty Chan Po-king established the Yew Wah school series with the aim of bringing international education to Chinese students. The Yew Wah International Education Centre was established in Shanghai in 1998, followed by the founding of the first YWIES in Yantai in 2000. Yew Wah has continued to expand its educational services through the establishment of Yew Wah International Education Kindergartens and Yew Wah Infant and Toddler Education Centres in Chongqing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Rizhao. In 2012, Yew Wah launched the "B&P International Education Park" project in Yizhuang, Beijing, leading to the opening of YWIES Beijing in 2016.

YWIES Guangzhou in Huadu and YWIES Shanghai Lingang in Pudong opened in 2014 and 2015, respectively. A new YWIES campus in Tongxiang also commenced operations in September 2017.
