截至2018年财年末，公司员工总数接近6万人，旗下公司近千家，拥有500多个管道燃气项目，600多座天然气汽车及船舶加气站，110多个液化石油气分销项目、17个天然气长输管线项目（包括4个省级管网）、1个煤层气开发项目、8个液化石油气码头和4个大型石油化工仓储基地。公司燃气管网总长近20万公里，各类管道燃气用户超过3000万户，液化石油气用户达600多万户，管道覆盖城市人口逾1.5亿人。公司市值位居大中华地区全球上市公司前100位。
**(一) 管道天然气业务**
自国家实施西气东输、川气东送以来，中国燃气在国内已投资500多个管道燃气项目，遍布全国二十九个省市自治区，包括哈尔滨、沈阳、大连、呼和浩特、济南、青岛、杭州、南京、合肥、武汉、南昌、重庆、南宁等省会级城市，以及佳木斯、牡丹江、锦州、辽阳、抚顺、包头、宝鸡、芜湖、淮南、信阳、扬州、宜昌、十堰、黄冈、益阳、梅州、茂名、柳州等大中型城市。中国燃气已成为中国最大的跨区域城市管道燃气运营商。
中国燃气近年来积极响应国家治理大气污染的号召，大力推动全国“气代煤”工程以治理雾霾。在华北大地、汾渭平原以及天津市、河北省大部分地级城市、山西省、山东省、河南省、陕西省等地达成农村气代煤全面战略合作，自2017年以来已累计签约农村气代煤超过600万户，开工建设300万户，并计划在未来5年内完成北方地区农村气代煤1200万户的改造目标。此外，中国燃气还与海南、湖北、安徽、吉林、黑龙江等省达成战略合作，共同推进美丽乡村建设，落实“乡镇燃气化”，助力各地乡村振兴战略。
