北京红林制药有限公司成立于1993年12月，是美国海星国际集团Ocean Star International, Inc.投资的美商独资现代化GMP制药企业。2003年由成都迁址至北京，2005年12月，转由香港海星国际有限公司控股。公司生产基地位于北京市怀柔区雁栖经济开发区。
公司已申请美国控释技术专利4项、中国控释技术专利5项，已获授权4项，并拥有进口数字激光打孔机等先进生产设备。目前拥有产品十几项，其中包括二类新药1个、三类新药2个、四类新药3个，产品涉及心脑血管、泌尿、内分泌、消化、抗过敏、精神、感冒和镇痛等多个领域、八大科室，2006年至2009年连续获得SFDA新药批件。
公司重视人才引进与培养，现有高级技术支持人员（博士研究生导师）2名、博士1名、硕士10名，药学专业人才占员工总数85%以上，并拥有数十人的美国专家顾问团。同时，红林公司被沈阳药科大学指定为研发合作实习基地。
