The history of Qihao Group can be traced back to the establishment of Stephan Witte Company in 1785 in Iserlohn, Germany, which specialized in producing sewing needles. Under the careful operation and management of the KIRCHHOFF family over four generations, the group has now evolved into a conglomerate consisting of four business segments: Qihao Automotive, Qihao Ecotec, WITTE Tools, and Qihao Mobility. With a presence in 22 countries through 57 manufacturing facilities, the group employs over 13,500 people worldwide.

Qihao Automotive, as the flagship division of the group, focuses on the research and production of hybrid metal structures for body-in-white applications in the global automotive market, catering to both passenger vehicles and trucks.

Qihao Automotive System (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., located in Suzhou Industrial Park, is the first wholly foreign-owned subsidiary of the German Qihao Group in China, established in July 2006 with a registered capital of 270 million RMB and occupying an area of 40,000 square meters. In 2013, a plant was opened in Shenyang (Shenyang Qihao Automotive Parts Co., Ltd.), covering an area of 30,000 square meters.

Utilizing advanced techniques in forming, joining, and surface treatment, Qihao Automotive specializes in the manufacture of high-precision automotive stamping components and welding metal modules such as front and rear bumpers, instrument panel crossbeams, undercarriages, frontends, and other body-in-white components. Major Chinese clients include BMW, JLR, Li Auto, and Volvo, among others. Qihao Suzhou has achieved certifications in IATF16949 and ISO14001.
