Bao Fu Mei (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., known as Bao Fu Mei, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Polyflame Europe SAS, a major European retailer. Polyflame Europe is headquartered in France and has subsidiaries in Shanghai, Wenzhou, and Hong Kong. Polyflame primarily deals with a variety of general merchandise, including lighters, smoking accessories, kitchenware, e-cigarettes, power banks, and more. Their products are mainly exported to European and American markets.

1970s-1980s: Initiated and developed into an early importer of lighters and gifts.
1973: Polyflame was created as part of Borsumij (a listed trading company in the Netherlands).
1984: The first Polyflame promotional product catalog (conceptualization of the company).
1985: Established the Polyflame R&D studio and procurement office in Hong Kong.
1995: Polyflame merged with Edelman (home and garden decoration products) to become Polyconcept-Bao Li Xing, operating as the Polyconcept-Polyflame division in Shanghai.
2014: On June 26, 2014, Polyconcept Hong Kong Limited (parent company of Bao Li Xing) signed the "Equity and Asset Transfer Agreement" with Polyflame Holding SAS and other companies. The Polyflame department was separated from Bao Li Xing and transferred to a new subsidiary established by Polyflame Holding SAS in Shanghai—Bao Fu Mei. The company was founded.
