(Tony) Hirt in Santa Fe, New Mexico - an early pioneer of the Volume of Fluid (VOF) method while working at Los Alamos National Laboratory - is renowned for its pioneering work. This led to the development of FLOW-3D, which evolved into the TruVOF method, significantly advancing computational speed and accuracy in tracking free surfaces.

Today, Flow Science offers comprehensive multi-physics simulations equipped with features such as fluid-structure interaction, six degrees of freedom motion of objects, and multiphase flows. Our core mission has always been to provide exceptional fluid dynamics simulation software and services to our clients. We've articulated this ambition through our strategic plan: to be the go-to global solution for engineers tackling free surface problems, offering precise, rapid, and straightforward answers.

Recognizing the demand for FLOW-3D in China, Flow Science established a wholly owned subsidiary, Three Dimensional Flow Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., in Shanghai in 2008. In 2018, we further expanded our presence by opening an office in Suzhou. Flow Science China now provides direct sales and technical support to FLOW-3D users in the Chinese market.
