Shandong Sand Painting Association is a provincial-level social organization registered with the Shandong Civil Affairs Department and has independent legal person status. The Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles serves as its business guidance unit, making it the second provincial sand painting art group in China. The association accepts business guidance and supervision from the social organization registration management authority, the comprehensive party committee of social organizations, and relevant industry management departments. English name: Shandong Sand Painting Association; English abbreviation: SSPA. Achievements of the association include: (1) being listed in the 2020 Annual Youth Literary and Art Creation Support Program of the China Literature and Art Foundation's China Literature and Art Development Special Fund; (2) organizing and planning the large-scale sand painting performance "Going Deep into the Grassroots" which was selected as a provincial innovative service case; (3) the "Cultural Exchange" sand painting theme cultural promotion project won the Shandong Provincial Youth Social Organization Service Case Award; (4) being listed in the key cultivation list of the "Top 10 Industries Association Hundred Project" in Shandong Province. The scope of business of the association includes: (1) organizing the excavation and collation of the history and culture of sand painting art, conducting investigation and research; (2) promoting and publicizing knowledge of sand painting art; (3) organizing the formulation of related group standards and norms for the sand painting industry; (4) carrying out grading and assessment work after approval; (5) conducting artistic creation, artistic exchange, and art exhibitions; (6) providing business training; (7) offering consulting services on market, management, and technology in the sand painting industry; (8) holding sand painting competitions and, after approval, conducting evaluation and commendation activities; (9) coordinating member relations, reflecting member demands, and safeguarding fair market competition; (10) strengthening the establishment, exchange, and cooperation with related art organizations within and outside the province; (11) undertaking government-purchased services.
