Colgate-Palmolive entered the Chinese market in 1992 through a joint venture with Guangzhou Jieyin Daily Chemical Plant and the establishment of a new factory in the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. This 75,000-square-meter facility is among the most advanced toothpaste plants globally, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and a robust quality and safety control system, producing up to 150,000 tons of toothpaste annually. Products are supplied both domestically and exported to over 50 countries.
Today, Colgate-Palmolive operates through three companies in China: Colgate-Palmolive (China) Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Colgate Co., Ltd., and Colgate-Sanxiao Co., Ltd., with a total investment exceeding $400 million. We have offices and manufacturing sites in Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Yangzhou, and Hong Kong, employing over 5,000 people. Our products are distributed across more than 600 cities in China, making Colgate a well-known brand for toothpaste and toothbrushes.
